Customer story · Refurbished laptops · Dubai and the US
From paper stickers to one record per laptop.
MinzTech buys used business laptops in Dubai, refurbishes them and ships them to the USA and Mexico. We built the system that follows every laptop from the supplier to its destination, and the online store at minztech.us.

Before
A business run on stickers and spreadsheets.
Handwritten stickers
Each laptop's inspection was written on a sticker stuck to the device.
WhatsApp and Excel
Receiving, refurbishment and shipping ran on WhatsApp threads and Excel sheets, with part numbers typed by hand into manifests.
Money matched by hand
Supplier payments, advances and balances were matched by hand in a spreadsheet.
After
Every laptop now has one record, from the supplier's purchase order to the pallet it ships on, and every supplier balance adds up.
What we built
01
Inspection on a phone
The paper sticker became a phone form with 14 device checks and photos. A spec that differs from what was bought is flagged at once.
14 checks: working, not working or not present
Photos taken on the phone
A spec mismatch drafts a debit note
The serial is the laptop's permanent identity

02
Refurbishment and QC
A parts swap updates the laptop's part number and adds the cost. A QC fail names who is responsible and sends the laptop back.
Part number built from the spec, never typed
Part cost added to the laptop
QC passes only when every check works
A QC fail notifies the admin

Pallets, shipments and manifests
Laptops are scanned onto pallets and shipped to the USA or Mexico, with the manifest in the format the business already used.

How we worked
Diagnose
Before building, we read their purchase ledger, a real shipment manifest and a photo of the inspection sticker, and listed every open question with a default answer.
Architect
A signed three-week plan: the serial is the identity, part numbers come from the spec, money lives in ledgers, and every step is checked on the server.
Build
Weekly stages, each closed with a written acceptance and an independent check of the money math, then a round of the client's own changes after the demo.
Operate
Deployed with automated tests and health checks, in English and Arabic, and handed over to the MinzTech team, who run it today.
Today
The operations system is live at MinzTech, and the store runs at minztech.us. Connecting the two is the planned next step.
